Pre-race Celebration Special Appearance  

Thank you to Native News Online for supporting our educational and social initiatives for Native American communities. We look forward to  a special appearance by Levi Rickert, Native News Online,  editor  and trusted voice for Indian Country at the  Vegas Pre-Race Event | Rez Kids Run Celebration on Tuesday, July 20th at 5:15 pm at the RES desk registration. The REZ Kids Run founders congratulate Levi on his 10th anniversary as a successful unbiased journalist providing news and events that are critical to Native people across the country. 

   

Levi Rickert

Levi Rickert is an American Indian journalist. He serves as publisher and editor of Native News Online, one of America's most read daily news American Indian publications. In its 11th year of publication, Native News Online has over 400,000 Facebook followers and nearly 73,000 Twitter followers. 

He also is the publisher and editor of Tribal Business News, a publication that was launched in October 2020. The publication focuses on Indian Country’s $130 billion tribal economy. 

Rickert, a tribal citizen of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, is the former executive director of the North American Indian Center of Grand Rapids. 

Rickert is the author of several published essays. His most recent, “Indian Pride” appears in "Voice on the Water: Great Lakes Native America Now," (Northern Michigan University Press). He co-produced and is featured in “Our Fires Still Burn: The Native American Experience,” a 57-minute documentary film that was shown on various PBS stations across the United States.
